tucked memories

“Hindi kita malimutan.”

I still remember
how you’d draw
constellations on my skin
and say that
the milky way
has been tattooed
on the curves of my back.

We talked how vodka
made us feel so damn close
to the dreams
only gods can achieve

And how the smoke
can never take us higher
without each other’s presence.

But you’ve gone away

leaving your bags behind
for you didn’t want me to know.

and the silence of your steps
tell me

you left your smiles
tucked in the sheets
where we

listen
to each other’s breathing.
